-A Brief History of the Karitzuian Galaxy-
The Karitzuian Galaxy is constantly expanding and changing. Here is a recap of the most notable events that have happened so far in its recorded history...
Age of Conflict
- No recorded sentient races behind this point...
- The first sentient race noted in the galaxy, the Akrai, entered the space horizon.
- The Akrai explored and found other budding sentient races. they spread a message of peace and cultivated technology among the races.
- Hundreds of new space-faring species arose, including the Ilumbol, the Xscalsamorians, and the Zorg.
- The new space-faring races often fought with one another, prompting the pacifist Akrai to create the Council. Here ambassadors to each race were sent, and conflicts would be ironed out in debates rather than through bloodshed.
- The Council was largely successful, and many more races were discovered in the galaxy. Those who had the technology to explore other planets would join the Council.
- Several decades passed, and the combative Zorg grew tired of the Akrai's everlasting choice of peace. They had many problems that needed to be addressed quickly, something the pacifist Council couldn't accomplish.
- Zorg tempers split, and their leaders sought out aggressive solutions. The Zorg ambassador sent to the next Council meeting assassinated the Akrai ambassador. He was promptly captured and sentenced to life punishment.
- The Zorg retaliated by attacking other races in the Council. They also made it their mission to extinguish the Akrai to prevent their peaceful ways from frustrating their plans.
- The galaxy becomes embroiled by war.
- The Zorg succeed in exterminating the Akrai; the records of them stop here. The Zorg secure the center of the galaxy for themselves and start pushing other races' territories back from it. The Zorg become a strong inter-galactic threat.
- War with the Zorg became less active as races followed the footsteps of the Akrai and chose to stop fighting. The Zorg remain hostile and the other races become withdrawn in their borders. During this time new sentient species were still popping up, including the well-known Shonokalatians, Arokians, and Ice Spirits.
- Some of the new races enter the space stage themselves. The inquisitive Arokians start forging new friendships with other, newer races, such as the Ikarus and the Culumbi Gilithe.
- Arokians have their first skirmish with the Zorg, who choose a passive-aggressive approach in an attempt to keep them away from their borders. This only makes the Arokians more curious.
- Arokians have a first serious encounter with the Zorg. The Zorg make it clear that they are hostile to everyone. The Arokians react to an immediate raid by destroying several Zorg ships, inflaming the empire. Active war breaks out in the galaxy again.
- Arokians, along with allied support, start undermining the Zorg and scavenging their ships for higher technology. This gives the resistance against the Zorg a large advantage.
- Many painful years pass of the Zorg and the "Zorg Resistance" fighting and pushing back. What few allies the Zorg had were either bought out or defeated, leaving them standing alone.
- Arokians become dangerously close to completely defeating the Zorg; the latter finally succumbs to surrender.
- Peace is restored in the galaxy as the Zorg are scattered and no threats remain. Arokians are dubbed heroes. Many races start exploring the galaxy again, establishing relationships with new alien races.
- With the Zorg scattered, yet the Akrai legacy tragically lost, the Arokians decide to brave the once-hostile territory. Among their discoveries lies a devastated planet being reclaimed by nature; there is only one life sign on it.
Age of Knowledge
- The one life sign belonged to a single being who was somehow completely oblivious to everything that happened in the galaxy, and yet she had a startling amount of knowledge. The Arokians, anticipating a refugee situation, bring her back with them. Her name is Naritarasu.
- Naritarasu remains an enigma, though according to the records the Arokians found speaking of the Akrai, she matched much of their descriptions except in race alone. She was peaceful, intelligent, and intended only to help others. Only more baffling was how she confounded the instruments of scientists, leaving much of her species - biology, anatomy, and all - completely unknown. However, not one specimen matching her species was found afterward, on her planet or anywhere else; plus, she could recount nothing of her history or of seeing other aliens before encountering the Arokians. Religious races speculated that she had a divine origin.
- This speculation only grew as Naritarasu began performing miracles all over the galaxy, and even helped more races reach the stars themselves. No one jumped to the conclusion that she was some sort of prophet or divine being, but she did gain a lot of respect as a great leader. Seeing the huge amount of dependence and attention she was being given, Naritarasu decided it was time to create a way to govern the galaxy that didn't rely on her solely.
- Naritarasu separates out the known races of the galaxy into four Clans that their ultimate governments looked up to. She then gave these Clans four leaders to represent their people, the same way the ambassadors did in the Akrai's Council. These four Clans were the Karrson, Ice Spirit, Zephorian, and Shadow Clans, the names given by their new members. With the presence of these new Clans the galaxy as a whole was given an official name: the Karitzuian Galaxy, with "Karitzuian" being derived from "karitzu", the name of Naritarasu's specie.
- The creation of the Clans and their union under a single name created a surge of cooperation between races. Growth, both on an individual and mass scale, occurred rapidly.
- Many long decades pass... The Karitzuian Galaxy becomes settled and prosperous, resulting in explorers interested in what lay outside of the galaxy. This led to an age of exploration where most of the galaxy spent its resources in learning new things.
- The Karitzuian Galaxy encounters the Milky Way Galaxy via a "mother wormhole" (a wormhole that reaches outside of one galaxy and into another). They codename this galaxy the Yla Galaxy.
- Exploration of the Yla Galaxy occurred. Several new alien species were encountered and relationships established, and many new planets were charted down, including Earth! The Karitzuians arrived during Earth's early years in the Cretaceous period; the Arokians predicted several raptor species, which they nicknamed the "Faerce", in becoming the sentient races of Earth.
- Some of the Karitzuian's newly-discovered neighbors in Yla disliked their presence, and begin attacking on the homefront. Karitzuian explorers are unfortunately pulled from the galaxy in order to amass resources for battle.
- A lot of time passes before the Karitzuians are able to calm relations between them and the new Yla races. They tentatively return to exploring the Yla galaxy.
- It is discovered that a lot happened during the war, including the sudden changes that occurred on Earth; the Arokian's "Faerce" never made it into sentience, and in fact a lot of the creatures were replaced by new, mammalian beasts. Karitzuians also met humans, though the meeting was never official, and humans never made actual contact with them. Naritarasu and the Clan Leaders decide to leave humans alone for now, at least until they themselves can start exploring beyond the atmosphere of their home planet.
- Things settled into a time of peace for a while, until suddenly the Ice Spirit Clan Leader (Hirloin) snapped under his new responsibilities. He went into a bloodthirsty craze and started murdering Karitzuians. Naritarasu seems to know why, but never shares the reason. The whole galaxy is put under alert.
- Hirloin's murdering spree goes wildly out of hand. Attempts to subdue the leader fail. He is finally silenced by Naritarasu's own sword, though she ended up dying herself in the process. After both leaders die it is discovered later that Hirloin caused a lot more damage than was previously thought, and Karitzuians begin scrambling to put things back into order.
- Naritarasu's daughter, Korimala, takes up her mother's position as a leader of the galaxy, and helps to reorganize things. The Karrson Clan Leader, Fulu, dies of old age and is succeeded by her own descendant Todus. The Shadow Clan also suffers a blow by losing their own leader Icestorm, but they take longer in finding his son Caltrops and giving him the power his father wanted.
- The Karitzuian Galaxy is finally reorganized under its new leadership, though the Ice Spirit Clan still remains without a leader; in the meantime, they look up to Korimala.
- Eager to jump into the future rather than dwell on the past, Korimala turns her attention back to the Yla galaxy and plans on making official contact with humans, especially since recent reports from probes there suggest that the humans have developed spacecraft. She organizes a trip to Earth with the Clan Leaders and leaves as soon as she can, to keep them from dwelling on the past as well. Due to the vacancy in leadership for the Ice Spirit Clan no Ice spirits went on the trip.
- The trip semi-fails as the Karitzuian Ship crashes rather ungracefully in the Arctic, though luckily everyone is okay. With plenty of enthusiasm from Korimala, the Karitzuians travel down from the Arctic through Canada in an attempt to find some kind of world leader. The Karitzuians' first contact with humans were with some Canadian frontiersmen, though the first official contact was made with US citizens and eventually, the President of the United States (Ronald Reagan, at the time). The Karitzuians find humans fascinating and decide to explore our cultures for a while before returning back to their own galaxy.
- Timeline continues...
