-Abyssian: Guardian-
Guardians have no solid appearance and are debatable whether they are actually creatures or some kind of intelligent force, like the Shadow or a Corrux. They change shape all the time but always have two distinctive features: they always look like oozing mud constructs walking around, and any time their mud is opened up it reveals a void of empty blackness. Like a modeler with clay, Guardians are constantly changing form and never have a default form, nor do they seem to have opinions, feelings, thoughts, or any sort of personality whatsoever. They wander aimlessly around the Abyss with one job only: to keep the Abyss isolated from all other places. If there's a portal, they close it; a conduit, they destroy it; an unwelcome visitor, it's kicked out repeatedly until the Guardian is forced to kill it. They have no voice, no smell, emit no heat and make no noise, and have been noted to "phase" through objects by either seeping through their pores or dispersing around them. The mud they are made out of is sticky and dark brown, and never dries out; Guardians use the stickiness to their advantage when fighting or disassembling things.
Guardians have no legendary origins and are considered possibly the first Abyssians ever created. To see one outside of the Abyss is considered a horrible sign, as it means an Abyssian is out that shouldn't be, and that can cause reality distortion by warping whatever location it's in into the Abyss with huge detrimental affects to others, especially the living. |
