-The Intergalatic Republic Services Capital (IRSC)-
Located within the Milky Way (codenamed "Yla Galaxy" by the Karitzuians), the IRSC was created by the Intergalactic Republic of Races as a main space station for all of the space-faring races within the republic to meet and trade goods. The republic itself is a conglomerate of sentient races who collectively agree on most political issues and have joined forces in order to combat their common enemies. While it is entirely possible for alien races from other forms of media (canons), such as Andalites (Animorphs™) or the Asgard (Stargate SG1™) to be in this republic, such canons have never been mentioned in the Karitzuian Galaxy's media and are merely presumed. Instead, many other original races are mentioned, such as the Takin, Sen, and Oscilin.
The IRSC's original intent was to create a meeting place for the leaders of these races, someplace safe from enemy attacks and in no particular territory in order to prevent bias and favoritism. Eventually, however, the space station grew into a rather large conglomerate of foreign services. A melting pot of cultures, the space station sports citizens from all of the races, who commonly use the space station to meet up with business clients, trade goods, or simply hang out with different species. It is also the main meeting place for whenever the IRSC calls for Karitzuian aid. Due to the leaders of each race not desiring any internal conflict that may result from clashing cultures, the IRSC - on a social level, at least - has many "manner rules" that are enforced to prevent any bias or offense from occurring (much to the leaders' chagrin, however, the Karitzuians seem to deliberately ignore these rules... but if we're perfectly honest, not being able to give a thumb's up in approval, of all things, is really weird.)

Affect on Karitzuians:
Most of the races that started the IRSC have been around for longer than the Karitzuians' first visit to the Milky Way (Yla) Galaxy; as such, when they first visited the IRSC it was already built and functioning, despite being in its infant stages. The Karitzuian leader at the time, Korimala, decided to iron out some foreign relations documents with the races who were already established there. Due to how the politics worked, she indirectly ended up signing up for "aid services", meaning that if the republic wanted to, it could call for Karitzuian aid. Granted, the Karitzuians don't have to respond to the aid, as Korimala's successor Zhera proved with disdain. "I have more important things to worry about," she had spitefully said in response to a meeting call. The flip side of this is that the republic will repeatedly call for aid until Zhera is so annoyed by it that she attends their "stupid meetings about nothing" (clearly Zhera is not one for politics). In some cases the meetings are necessary though, and in these cases the aid proves invaluable. Some of the race leaders still don't see Karitzuians as a solution to anything though, and are especially annoyed by Zhera's abrasiveness (it doesn't help about how she jokes - without remorse - about how it's "one letter away from the IRS" in reference to the government buildings on Earth). In some of the recent years there have been both petitions and raw suggestions to simply kick out the Karitzuians, or at least to revise the relations agreement, but so far the races that are more close to the Karitzuians and/or value them more have shot down these suggestions, often using an argument of last resorts in order to silence their opponents.
Other than a meeting place for responding to aid calls, Karitzuians don't use the IRSC for much. Explorers use it to easier gain access to areas under foreign control, or in order to find information relevant to what they are seeking, but beyond that Karitzuians don't even trade there due to have a foreign relations policy where everything is neutral, and if a race wants something to happen it goes to the Galaxy, the Galaxy doesn't come to it. While this doesn't necessarily mean that the Galaxy's borders are overly strict, it does mean that many Karitzuians don't travel outside of the galaxy, resulting in very little foreign interaction outside of the foreigners themselves visiting the Galaxy. In terms of what white-collar Karitzuian workers think of the IRSC, they all suspect - or even believe outright - that the leaders there hold on to the Karitzuian alliance simply because they are afraid that the Karitzuians might switch allegiance to their enemies; the foreign aid document has proven well enough that Kariztuians are too formidable of an ally to lose. In truth, Karitzuians are more frustrated by the Republic's enemies then they are of it itself!
